The only organization that God directs.
by man in black induring the decades in which i was a jw, so many times i heard comments about how the wtbts is the only organization that god is directing here on earth today.
in fac there was a popular story in the late 70's about how the us army once came to a district assembly to observe, and learn how to better organize large groups of people.
( i remember the speaker commenting on how many attendee's thought the tribulation was starting because the army was there.

For royemunson I hear what you are saying but where was these people when bush was leading us into a BS 'war on terror'?!?
As far as politicians they are merely following the course established aa long time ago. This is a PDF to a book called Addicted to war and it does an excellent job detailing the militarism of the US.

These 2 videos make very good points on the absurdaty of birthers and their real motivation. I love the corelation they both make to when blacks had to show their 'papers' to vote or just walk or drive down the street.

Why Obama shouldn't have had to 'show his papers'

Looks Like Trump's Right: How the Hell Did This President Get Into Those Ivy League Schools?
Politics
- "The dean looked over Barack's transcript and college boards and then suggested in a kindly way that he apply to some less competitive colleges in addition to Columbia."
- "There were no class rankings at his high school, but Barack never made honor roll even one term, unlike 110 boys in his class."
- "His SAT scores were 566 for the verbal part and 640 for math. Those were far below the median scores for students admitted to his class at Columbia: 668 verbal and 718 math."
- "At Columbia, Barack Obama distinguished himself primarily as a hard partier, and he managed to be detained by police twice during his university years: once for stealing a Christmas wreath as a fraternity prank and once for trying to tear down the goalposts during a football game at Princeton."
- "Obama's transcript at Columbia shows that he was a solid C student. Although a history major, he sampled widely in the social sciences and did poorly in political science and economics while achieving some of his best grades (the equivalent of a B+) in philosophy and anthropology. The transcript indicates that in Obama's freshman year, the only year for which rankings were available, he was in the twenty-first percentile of his class—meaning that four-fifths of the students were above him. Yet at the same time that he was earning Cs at Columbia, Obama displayed a formidable intelligence in another way. At his induction into the Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) fraternity, he and others were asked to name all fifty-four pledges in the room. Most were were able to name only five or six. When it was Obama's turn, he named every single one. Later he rose to become president of DKE, and he was also tapped into Skull and Bones, an elite secret society to which his father had also belonged."
And then he somehow got into Harvard for graduate school.
Oh, wait.
My bad.
I made a mistake.
Please replace the reference to "high school" with "Andover."
Please replace "Columbia" with "Yale."
Please replace "Barack Obama" with "George W. Bush."
Thanks.

New Light @ The 2011 District Convention
by dontplaceliterature in" at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.
my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?
" represents, or some other fangled idea.

Are You Raising An Introvert?
by darth frosty inits not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.
it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

What I meant to post for watersprouts question:
I'm real big on symbiotic vs. parasitic relationships, you surround yourself with too many people and it is almost impossible to control that sort of thing (and you get a parasitic person on you and they will make you feel literally physically tired). I think that is why introverts feel drained in social settings, a room full of parasites and everybody leaves full, but if you are not the type of cat that feeds on others energy or even requires that and you are in a room full of feeders, you become food.

Watersprout-Do any other introverts find that when you are entertaining or are with others, the exhaustion hit's suddenly and you just need to get out immediately?? I tend to find i feel ill [nausea, stomach pain, trembling, headaches, urge to run away].
I think you meant introvert another excellent comment from the original post:When I was in my teens I had this mentality.
The problem was that the wrong leaders would lead the herd in the crazy directions.
From that time I understood that as an introvert you have 2 choices:
1. Go with the herd while suffering mentally in silence
2. Step up and lead the herd
I chose 2.
The trick is as a leader to facilitate the discussion, acknowledge ideas and then drop your insight last and make it seem like it is the team's idea.
I'm an executive in a tech company now so that shit works.
The key is timing, timing your contribution but in a way that does not intimidate the team.
I still struggle with that though to the point that my bosses are sometimes a bit hesitant to approach me. I try to engage in that small talk first to diffuse their anxiety so that small talk shit does come in handy.
Nuther good one:
I also think people that don't run their mouths 24x7 tend to really appreciate a good conversation when they are engaged in one. You get a group of introverted cats in a room speaking on a common subject they all have an interest in and that shit can go on for hours without a break and other cats will just spectate the conversation like a sporting event. Used to call it "building" back in the day, but it doesn't require as much weed and beer as a "building" session did. -

This is one of the hardest things for my wife to understand about me, the need to be alone. She always wants to go and be around folks and I tell her 'I hate people' well not so much hate, just like to limit and control my interaction with them.
